Snowmobile Service
How much good news snowmobiles cost? What are the best, and are allowed on U.S. roads / Canada?
I an idea for a winter trip across the great northern continental U.S., Canada and Alaska. I thought a snowmobile would be the best form of transport for most of it, but since it does not snow much where I am not really sure if I buy one would be economically viable. I want to know how much would a Good planning before anything else. Also, I read in Wikipedia that can go 100 miles per hour. Are they allowed on the roads of the same as cars in the U.S. and Canada? Or is it only allowed on the trails and service roads of the forest? Thank you!
When I lived in North Ontario, snowmobiles or sleds "are a popular form of winter recreation. Although it is rare to see them parked in their local Tim Hortons, are not allowed to travel on roads with normal traffic, or along shoulders of roads. You can cross roads, but only at intervals marked. We have a lot of trails far, most private, and some that you should buy a season pass to travel, to take care of the UB the MNR (Ministry of Natural Resources). It was grate, clear brush growing on them, and the OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) patrol them on sleds of their own, arrest speeders, drunk drivers and those without a trace fineing pass. Yes, sleds can reach speeds of 100 mph, but it would be foolish to travel anywhere north of 40 mph in a. They are easily overturned, broke easily and too many deaths occur each year from improper handling. In fact, I think Canada has more snowmobile deaths murders reais per year. They are also very expensive. Think of the cost of a low-end sedan used for a used sled, or one with low output engine. A good will cost you more $ 10,000. Keep in mind that you also have to map your trip with enough care to ensure they keep to the paths covered. As the owner of large of land, not welcome strangers randomly speeding through my property without permission. Also make sure to stay away from tap water that may be blocked. Too many people fall through the ice each year, dragged by a snow machine, crossing rivers and lakes that they thought should have been frozen.
