How difficult are the Polaris ATV transmissions? Can you take it?
Im looking to put an engine of 340 or 440 of trailboss my age, but the power of further destruction of trans? A trailbosss / Trailblazer / etc … Polaris ATV for most engines (except the predators and not of the Act) are like the snowmobile engine, no gears, no transmission inside the engine of any type, like the installation of a Briggs & Stratton 8 HP motor with a clutch that drives a belt. and 340/440 's are two-cylinder, which, I know because I owned both. put a car in the courtyard only remove the old engine, Fab motor mounts in place and keep the belt line, then connect the line / electric Fuel / etc my question is, can the tranny take such abuse, or will leave the battle?
Polaris ATV transmission are so difficult that it is almost ridiculous. TrailBlazer my brother 400 is up 70 hp to the rear wheels in a transfer of stock for more than 500 hours in the last 7 years. We have also helped remove some trucks marsh with him too.
