snowboarding goggles oakley

Burton is a good brand to buy clothes for the ski slopes?
I'm looking to go snowboarding in New Zealand and have a great interest for she and I think its time to buy some equipment from the mine. I do not travel very often – probably only once a year for a week. I like some of the clothes I looked by Burton, but are they reliable? I'de love to hear others think brands are equally good. The only reason for initially thought Burton was that it seemed to integrate myself and reliable. I'de be later jackets, pants, gloves and goggles (glasses but I think I can go with Oakley).
Yes Burton makes good and reliable hot ski / snowboard
