Best place to snowboard in Tahoe?
It’s my first attempt at snowboarding and I have the option to go to:
Kirkwood
Alpine Meadows
Squaw Valley
or Heavenly
Which would be the best for a beginner?
Guys, she asked which would be the best for a BEGINNER! All of you that recommended Kirkwood for a beginner should be convicted for attempted murder. Especially the ones that said to go up to the top where the double diamonds are. With the amount of powder at Kirkwood, she’ll just get burried in the snow and never be found.
Heavenly probably has the most variety of terrains, but like many have said, it’s more suited for skiers because of the number of flat areas.
I’ve never been to Alpine Meadows, so I can’t comment.
Squaw is your best bet. It has a good variety of terrains and it won’t kill you. Night riding for $22 4pm to 9pm is a good deal.
