ny snowboarding mountains

I’m going to Colorado this winter. Where to go?
So this winter me, my cousin, my sister and my mom are all going to Colorado for 4 days in Janruary. I live in NY and we are, as you could have guessed, going for the skiing/snowboarding.
To anyone with experience: which mountain is the best one to visit with the best snow conditions and such. I was thinking Breckenridge, but a friend told me Vail is nicer and has better snow conditions because it is at a higher altitude, etc.
So anyone with experience where is the best place to go and just all around what kind of things will make our vacation a memorable and great one over all?
The two answers above me aren’t about skiing, Vail and Aspen have nicer towns and amenitites. Aspen is a smaller area, and Vail is one of the lowest elevation resorts (which is relative, it’s still 10,000+). As for the skiing? Not spectacular (well for someone from NY it is, but I digress)
Breckenridge is crowded on the weekends, but a ghosttown during the week. Definitely my favorite area. 13,000ft at the top, much more vertical than Vail. Vail is massive in the fact that it is very LONG, but not that HIGH.
Snow will be good anywhere in January, but I recommend either Winter Park or Breckenridge. Vail is lacking a certain feeling of “fun” runs, something that WP and Breck have NAILED. I love those areas. You have a smile on your face at the end of each run.
