how snowmobile tracks work
The purchase of a snowmobile I long or short track?

I live in Anchorage, Alaska, and am looking for a sled What do you recommend and what is the difference? Thanks

Depends on where you're riding. If you plan to stick mostly groomed trails and snow were focused on a track Short is better. In these conditions, a long slide is not no corners, too, for all the track in contact with the snow line will make the sled. If you plan travel off-piste in deep snow or climbing a mountain track is always better. The contact surface provides additional flotation and avoid drowning. Other considerations are a long runway to use more fuel and heavier. The alternatives are more expensive. If your track a track stud length, needs more of them. A track 121 inches is good if you spend much time off road. A long toboggan run will be slower than a short toboggan run with the engine.
