Snowboarding stance width?

I am about 6 ft tall and i right a burton dominant 154 it comes to about 1.5 in below my chin

but i think my stance is just a little to wide for freestyle

it is fine when im just riding and goofing around but when i try to do any park riding it feels like i cant really ollie at all and kind of feels un centered.

Im not sure exactly how it is measured but from the inside of one toe to the other is about 17 in and from the center of the binding to the other is 22 in

could my stance be to wide and be affecting my stability both aproaching jumps and starting spins?

It’s not too wide, especially if you feel fine riding steeper runs. When you say “just riding and goofing around” are you talking easy runs or really challenging straight-down non-groomed stuff?

If you feel fine on the advanced runs, don’t change the width, but if you feel uncentered in the park, you could try moving your bindings forward or back one hole (the same amount) so that you still have the same width but on a different point on the board. You didn’t really specify HOW you feel uncentered, so I can’t tell you which direction to go in, but maybe try both, and see if that helps.

And don’t worry too much about the width. You’ll meet guys that brag about how wide their stance is, like it’s some kind of status symbol, and then watch them fall all over themselves if they ever leave the park, which most of them don’t. Ride whatever width is comfortable for YOU. Numbers mean nothing except to keep track of what works for you and what doesn’t.
