Why is skiing (and, possibly, snowboard), as a good workout?

It's amazing how you're screaming along the slopes at full speed, all the muscles in his arms, legs and lower back is hurting like hell and yet find the energy to persevere throughout the day, resulting in difficulty walking in the coming days. I never realized I had to push my limits simply lean body cross down, and I loved every moment of it laughing hysterically every time I succumbed to the effects of gravity.

Well, not only will downhill, but using your body to control something that is constantly trying to get out from under you on a slippery slope.
