downhill skiing beginners
Snow skiers, I am a beginner looking to buy alpine skis. Anyone have good advice?

I've been skiing only time. I took it quite well in a pair of parabolic skis Dynastar 160 cm. My daughter, who has been skiing all my life and grew up in the mountains of State of New York, was surprised. We are planning to go much further in the future, and I am looking to invest in a good set of intermediate skis. My plan is to do all the resorts Alpine, in the groomed trails. (Perhaps in the future I will be a little more adventurous) Where do I look for a good business, and what type of ski should focus in the purchase? 5 '11 and 150 pounds. Any advice at all is appreciated here. Thanks everyone!

Yes, I have some good advice, I have been an expert skier that for over 35 years. And I have an excellent set of skis Rossingnol. They have been perfect for me and are over 20 years. of age and are like new. I Recommend this brand and they have bikes for all levels, especially intermediate. That will last for years. And you'll love. An important thing to remember is that since who has skied only once, it is important to start with a shorter ski than normal. Your turn will learn and make it much more easily than a ski and to help keep your speed under control. A longer ski is much faster and harder to turn and can increase its length when you become a better skier. A golden rule for skiers and their capabilities is so great the skiing is on your own height. If you're an expert skier you want your ski to standing, at least to his forehead. An intermediate skier, as you must have a ski that does not exceed the nose or chin, where some beginners have their skis. If you want some advice, I would suggest rent skis at different lengths to find the best length. Skis, boots and poles can be rented for only $ 15.00 per day in a lot of places. Sometimes classes are included and may try to take one or let your girlfriend to teach you. Its height is very important and we must remember that the length skiing is measured in centimeters and not inches so you must convert. One inch equals 2.54 centimeters. Since you're 5'11 "tall are 180.34 inches high (which math-2.54 x 71 inches = 180.34). Therefore resort must be at least two inches shorter than for the expert (2.54×69 = 175.26). Through the ski should be (67 x 2.54-170.18). Your ski should be no greater than 170 cm and may want to try a 165 cm, but not be shorter than this only 5'5 "long. would start on beginner courses (which are marked with green Cirlce) until you feel safe and then try running intermediate (blue squares). See excellent skiers while driving to the elevator and learn from them. Another very important thing to remember is to get boots that feel comfortable. Some boots come with removable soles and I would recommend buying or renting this type. I have this kind and I bought a great, unique built for operation and this made me a better skier since my feet felt better in my boots and my boots when I move to turn the skis, it is much easier. Also, use poles to maintain balance when turning. Good luck! Don
