Is wakeboarding like snowboarding?

So i know how to snowboard and all but i live in AZ so its kinda hard to find somewhere to go snowboarding in the summer ( i keep telling my parents we should move to alaska but noo lol) so i wanna try wakeboarding…is it a lot like snowboarding? does it have the same basic things just ur being pulled by a boat when wakeboarding?

i snowboard and wakeboard, and yes they are very similar. they turn the same(heelside and toeside) and they feel the same. the only difference is that you are being pulled instead of using gravity, so balance feels a little different, but wakeboarding is probably easier.
